Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, registering, tapping “I agree,” or otherwise using Sleep Duck, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app.

If you are under 18, use the service with guidance from a parent or guardian.

2. Service Description

Sleep Duck is a lifestyle app designed to help users build better bedtime routines and reduce late-night phone use. Features may include bedtime and wake goals, reminders, focus mode, white noise, breathing guidance, duck messages, check-ins, reports, medals, duck growth, and outfits.

Sleep Duck is not medical advice and does not diagnose or treat sleep disorders. For persistent insomnia, sleep apnea, anxiety, depression, or other health concerns, consult a licensed medical professional.

3. Account and Registration

Core features may be used without an account. If account, sync, subscription, or cross-device features are offered, you must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized use.

4. User Rules

You agree to use Sleep Duck lawfully and not to interfere with the service, reverse engineer the app, abuse automated tools, upload illegal or infringing content, harm others, or use the service for unlawful activity. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when these rules are violated.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Sleep Duck names, logos, duck characters, outfits, copy, UI designs, documents, sounds, code, and derivative works are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for personal lawful purposes.

6. User-Generated Content

You are responsible for feedback, screenshots, shared cards, or other content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content as needed to provide, support, and improve Sleep Duck.

7. Paid Services and Subscriptions

Sleep Duck may offer free features, in-app purchases, and subscriptions, including Pro monthly or annual subscriptions, lifetime purchases, content packs, outfits, seasonal skins, trials, and promotions. Prices, billing cycles, renewal rules, and trial terms are shown in the app or by Apple App Store / Google Play at purchase time.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal time through the relevant platform account settings.

8. Refund Policy

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refund requests must be submitted through the relevant platform according to its policies. One-time digital purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered unless required by law or platform policy. Duck coins and similar virtual rewards cannot be exchanged for legal currency, refunded, or transferred.

9. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Distribution, payments, push notifications, Screen Time, Digital Wellbeing, and related system services may be operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or operation.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully bypass-proof operation, especially for features depending on operating system permissions and platform policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of data, goodwill, or profits. Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid to us in the previous 12 months.

12. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for business, technical, security, or compliance reasons. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, applicable law, legal process, or security requirements.

13. Termination

You may stop using Sleep Duck by uninstalling the app or deleting your account where available. After termination, personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy; subscriptions and paid items follow platform rules.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws relevant to your use of Sleep Duck and our provision of services, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; otherwise, either party may seek relief through a competent dispute-resolution body.

15. Miscellaneous

If any term is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. Section headings are for convenience only. Questions may be sent to sleepduck@126.com.
